Students of the SPbSPU – award winners of the competition for best graduation project

On September 13, in the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, the winners of the competition for best graduation project held by JSC "TGK-1" were awarded.

 

Basic objective of the competition is the search for perspective students and young professionals of energetics to provide them assistance in employment with JSC “TGK-1”. This year they presented 40 works in 6 categories, which is a record-breaking number for the whole life of the competition.

 

Winners of the contest, their supervisors and members of the juryStudents of the Polytechnic University are among winners in almost each category. First prize winners are: Anastasia Potasheva – in category “Non-traditional and renewable power sources”, Anastasia Sharova – in category “Economics and enterprise management in energetics”, Elena Kishkovich – in category “The Reducing of harmful effects in the enviroment and ecology in energetis”.


Maria Savchenko and Ivan Vybornyh shared first prize in category “Automation and information technology in energetics”. Second prize was awarded to Zinaida Sannikova – in category “Thermal stations”, Olga Bryzgalova – in category “Non-traditional and renewable power sources”, and Pavel Poshechonov – in category “Automation and information technology in energetics”

 

At the awarding ceremony held on September, 13, the General Director of JSC “TGK-1”, A. N. Philippov, emphasized that “TGK-1”, as developing company, requires new ideas and young professionals, and that the company is ready to provide them with the perspective for personal growth and income. And then, A. N. Philippov promised to promote the most perspective projects by granting special support.

 

V.V. Glukhov gives a gift to A.N. FilippovVice-rector of SPbSPU, V. V. Gluhov, in his speech noticed that TGK-1 pays great attention to recruitment and expressed his confidence in success of this approach. It was stated that cooperation between TGK-1 and SPbSPU will be further developed.


The competition jury thanked the students and their research instructors for participation, and noticed that the greatest interest evoke not just scientific research, but full-scale projects which can be introduced into production environment.


During the research and practice conference held that day in TGK-1 the award winners presented the results of their graduation works. After finishing presentation, the graduates got familiar with the major projects being implemented in TGK-1. Among them are “Lean production” (integrated system of principles, operational procedure and tools aimed at minimization of activity unhelpful for the company) - North Thermal Station; “EAM-system “MAXIMO” (Enterprise Asset Management)” ‒ enterprise asset and services management; TGK-1 investment program.
